Your life today is the one you prize;
You live eternally too.
Which one is it you choose to rise,
Is always up to you.
We love the now for certainty,
We revel in the food.
It is the long term clarity
That knocks on our joyous mood.
Today we bully and judge
‘Cause it moves the clarity aside
Yet we know in the sweetness of fudge
There is no honest bride.
The bridge to cross from now to then
Seems easy at the start,
It plays the harshest tricks from whence
Our doubts build in our heart.
The love of others on the road
Is key to where we go.
Am I the slimy ugly toad
Or white of the pure snow?
I know deep down the way to right
And feel the calling too.
I pray a bit for this each night
To find the right anew.
